Sealing Three Sides Of A Large Tank

Drinking Water

Challenge

Signs of deterioration had become visible in the expansion joints in flocculation and sedimentation basins at a drinking water treatment facility. The client wanted a repair that could be installed directly over the aging joints in these tanks.

Engineered Solution

Three-sided HydraTite Seals were the chosen solution.

Scope

The client intends to install HydraTite over multiple expansion joints in 4 basins. Approximately 3,900 linear feet of HydraTite will prevent leaks in these tanks. The project is broken into two phases, during which two tanks will be worked on each time. During the first phase, HydraTech provided a technician to instruct and oversee installation for the first week.
