The Southwest Ohio Branch of the American Public Works Association (APWA) recently hosted an intimate, low-stress trade show at the Sharonville Convention Center. The event brought together professionals from both the public and private sectors who plan, build, and maintain the underground infrastructure that keeps our communities running. From water distribution and wastewater management to roadway systems, the show spotlighted emerging technologies and rehabilitation solutions for aging infrastructure—an environment where HydraTech’s trenchless pipe repair products fit perfectly.
At our booth, we featured the HydraTite® Internal Pipe Joint Seal and HydraLock® Small-Diameter Seal, both engineered for long-term pipe joint rehabilitation without excavation. Attendees stopped by to learn why internal pipe joint sealing offers a more efficient, sustainable alternative to grout injection and full pipe replacement. It was also great to reconnect with professionals familiar with HydraTech’s products—including Heather Spurlino, who previously represented HydraTech at trade shows and now works with JGM Valve.
This event was a highlight for me personally. The venue was close to our headquarters, which meant my family could stop by. My son explored the heavy equipment on display (and collected more than a few pieces of candy), while my daughter charmed everyone she met. My wife finally got to see firsthand what these shows are all about—thank you, Eric Keebler, for making that visit possible.
Overall, the show was a success. We strengthened relationships with local public works professionals and helped more people understand how internal pipe joint sealing can extend the life of underground infrastructure while minimizing downtime and cost. It was a rewarding reminder that sometimes the most valuable connections are made right here in our own backyard.
