Mike Fox, HydraTech’s Technical Manager, introduces the HydraLock seal. The applications for this product are explained and the basic functions elaborated. The HydraLock seal is designed for point and joint repair in small-diameter pipes and is installed with a packer rather than by a technician. This long-term solution is a better financial option compared to replacement.
HydraLock is a custom-made, small-diameter pipe joint seal designed to repair leaking pipe joints from inside the pipeline without excavation, helping reduce repair costs by more than 50% compared to many dig-and-replace methods. Each seal is delivered to the repair location on an installation packer, expanded into position, and locked in place to create a tight, leak-free joint repair that can often be completed in days instead of weeks; please note that HydraTech does not provide the installation packers.
